Holman Upfitting has an outstanding opportunity for a Materials lead in our Kansas City Location.

Shift: Monday to Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Must have Valid driver's license

Must be able to provide basic hand and power tools

JOB SUMMARY

This position provides leadership and support for direction of daily work schedule, serves as the point of contact with the office to meet department goals. Assists and mentors other Logistics and Porter employees and provide training to new employees on department processes. This position is also responsible for the flow of production vehicles from check in, to production, and back to the customer through Ford Ship Through.

What will you do?

  • Lead, plan and train department members responsible for performing a variety of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled related to maintaining an accurate vehicle count.
  • Responsible for performing some of the most complex work in the department as well as administrative support duties.
  • Follow and monitor all processes for shipping and receiving of vehicles and offer support where needed to employees.
  • Maintain the Unidentified Units List and help with clearing each week.
  • Serve as a mentor/resource to other employees in the department for complicated issues.
  • Maintain inventories of all pre and post-production vehicles and assist in monthly inventory of preproduction vehicles on the ground.
  • Pull and stage vehicles for job/work orders.
  • Responsible for the shipment of vehicles and staging of vehicles for customers.
  • Responsible for completion of weekly shipping report, and weekly shipping label audit.
  • Properly check-in and move vehicles being delivered.
  • Assist in the security of the building.
  • Understand the value that quality plays in the overall success of the company, help in increasing the quality of our products for the appearance and safety for our customers.
  • Must comply with the company's safety policies and clean initiative standards.

What are we looking for?

  • Successfully complete on-the-job training.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in Logistics/Traffic environment.
  • Must be able to work in multiple environments - shop, outside in all types of weather conditions as well as in an office.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Able to think on your own and request assistance when needed.
  • Possess knowledge of appropriate shipping and marking of vehicles through Ford Ship Through.
  • Must be able to correctly use all required safety equipment.
  • Must be able to perform within the established company standards, which include but are not limited to standard operating procedures, quality and performance.
  • Must pass a physical, drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment.

Regular Full-Time

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $23.11 - $32.93 USD per hour.
