Job Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY:
Ensures that Customer expectations for Quality, Cost and Delivery with Financial responsibilities directly related to overall plant profitability. Provides strategic leadership, management, and technical expertise to the organization. Plans, develops, directs, implements, and maintains strategies and objectives. Manages financial aspects of operations and understands the effect on financial performance. Develops, reviews, and maintains budgets and expenses for department. Monitors and controls costs and promotes cost savings. Maintains appropriate level of staff support necessary to meet business goals and objectives. Performs project work and other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor's degree in business or related field including eight years manufacturing leadership experience; or equivalent. Possess high degree of knowledge in manufacturing, operations, process design, systems and quality.
2. Leadership skills to lead and manage operations toward long-term departmental and organizational goals.
3. Employee relationship and management skills to support, develop, and lead a successful operations team.
4. Strong communication skills to work with internal and external contacts at all levels within the organization, represent the company in a professional manner, and to sell concepts to customers.
5. Project and program management skills and proven financial capabilities to maintain quality, cost, and timing of programs.

DUTIES:
1. Ensures that Customer Performance Metrics are maintained and met.
2. Support, interpret, and enforce policies and work practices fairly and consistently.
3. Ensure safety and ergonomics is discussed in all work-team meetings.
4. Introduce and review the policies with work team.
5. Request appropriate training and equipment from Safety Department.
6. Ensure that unsafe conditions and actions in the work environment are corrected.
7. Participate in workplace safety inspections.
8. Manages financial aspects of operations and understands the effect on financial performance. Develops, reviews, and maintains budgets and expenses for materials, equipment, travel, etc., ensuring conformity to plan. Monitors and controls costs and promotes cost savings in support of goals and value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) efforts. Researches and recommends new processes, systems, policies, and procedures to pursue in the future.
9. Develops and manages cross-functional operations leadership teams to meet business objectives. Monitors productivity of groups and individuals, recommends changes where desirable. Provides leadership and support to staff and assists in employees' skill development and develops team-based organization focused on goals and objectives.
10. Lead and manage team including; performance reviews/management, disciplinary action, attendance, career development, ect.
11. Monitors Corrective Action Reviews and ensures that they are effective to prevent recurrence to the customer.
12. Support functions to PPAP, customer report card, PPM, PMP Performance (engineering changes, methods, processes, etc.), Customer Audits, and Warranty Measures.
13. Responsible for performance Metrics including Scrap, Schedule attainment, labor efficiency, OEE.
