Job Summary:
The Urology Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a busy academic health system Urology Procedure Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This role provides leadership for clinical staff, manages resources to align with patient needs and budget targets, and drives continuous improvement in care delivery and operational performance
Accountable for managing the delivery of safe, effective and efficient clinical services and patient care. This role is responsible for deploying flexible staffing resources in a manner that matches and aligns with patient needs within the budgeted productivity targets across the ambulatory environment. Services may also include coordination of quality improvement initiatives, recruitment, retention, hiring, managing performance, and supporting the growth of staff. Ensures resources for clinical care are available. Ensures all clinical work is accomplished in accordance with policies and procedures.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
• Supervise and coordinates operations to ensure safe, effective patient care. • Manage scheduling, staffing, and resource deployment to support volume and productivity goals. • Lead recruitment, retention, performance management, and staff development. • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. • Promote change management, efficiency initiatives, and quality improvement efforts. • Provide leadership and support in high-stress clinical situations.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment in a clinical role is required.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Leadership experience preferred. Quality improvement, process improvement, team building, problem solving and coaching experience is highly preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Bachelors degree in nursing is required.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office is required. Clinical experience in procedural or surgical settings; prior direct or indirect leadership experience preferred.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Required current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
