Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Project Manager within our team. Please note that this position requires a commitment to full-time employment and is not open to contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

The Project Manager will be heavily involved in planning, executing, and overseeing diverse technology projects. This key position involves meticulous coordination of project teams, ensuring timely and budget-conscious project delivery, and adeptly managing stakeholder expectations. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders, the Project Manager is instrumental in driving successful project outcomes.

• Focus on meeting project commitments, including communications with sponsors, stakeholders, and vendors.

• As assigned, support all of the project phases, including initiation, planning, implementation, and closure for an enhanced or new system.

• Develop comprehensive and meticulous project plans, outlining project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements with an emphasis on precision.

• Execute and monitor project activities with a keen eye on adherence to project timelines and budgets.

• Proactively identify and skillfully mitigate project risks, swiftly resolving issues to maintain project momentum.

• Exhibit strong leadership qualities by motivating cross-functional project teams, providing insightful feedback, and fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.

• Engage in regular communication with project stakeholders, providing transparent updates, soliciting feedback, and adeptly managing expectations.

• Ensure seamless alignment between project goals and overarching organizational objectives.

• Skillfully develop project budgets, meticulously tracking expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.

• Strategically allocate and optimize resources to achieve project objectives efficiently.

• Implement and rigorously enforce quality assurance processes to consistently deliver high-quality project outcomes.

• Conduct thorough project reviews and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and continuous enhancement.

• Maintain comprehensive and organized project documentation, including detailed project plans, progress reports, and insightful post-project evaluations.

• Provide regular and clear status updates to relevant stakeholders, fostering a culture of transparency.

• Collaborate effectively with external vendors and contractors, ensuring their deliverables align with project specifications.

• Skillfully negotiate vendor contracts as needed, demonstrating proficiency in contract management.

Qualifications:

• Understand IT missions and operations.

• Proven track record as a Project Manager, showcasing successful project delivery on time and within budget.

• Ability to function as a Project Manager and/or business functional lead on departmental and/or organization wide projects.

• Demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills, fostering effective collaboration.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• In-depth knowledge of diverse project management methodologies and tools.

• Thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management discipline, including knowledge of waterfall and agile methodologies.

• Thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools: Initiate, Planning: definition/scope/requirements, Execute & Control: scope, work plans, resources, deliverables, Q/A, transition planning, etc., Closure: completion and assessment.

• Strong and tested project management skills including Customer satisfaction management, Sponsor expectation management, Vendor and consultant management, Risk management and issue resolution, financial management including budgeting, forecasting and reporting, Change Management.

• Contribute expertise in assigned area, execute deliverables and ensure that the project team completes project deliverables as outlined based on the project scope and business requirements.

• Ability to promote and maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to get along with members, co-workers, management and vendors.

• Superior inter-personal skills, conflict resolution, and negotiating skills, to ensure open communication across project teams.

• Ability to handle broad-based, often complex, communication for internal and/or external audiences.

• Ability to diffuse emotionally charged situations and use them to constructively build greater shared commitment to end goals.

• Ability to work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes, analyze decisions and actions for their support of the larger area's strategic direction; and work with senior management to resolve more complex problems.

• Demonstrated understanding of technical skills in all phases of systems analysis techniques.

• Outstanding record of project management success, both in results achieved and in use of professional methodology.

• Pro-active in developing and implementing strategies that significantly mitigate risk.

• Understanding of the SDLC and other life cycles for the deployment of infrastructure, networking and other non-software projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is desired.

• Certifications in industry standards (e.g., ITIL) is desired.

The wage range for this role reflects the wide array of factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the unique facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the hourly range is $51.00 - $56.00.
