Principal, Business Delivery

As a Principal, Chief of Staff, you'll operate as a senior advisor and execution leader-helping executives turn priorities into action and ensuring complex initiatives stay aligned, focused, and moving forward.
This is a billable, client-facing role for an experienced Chief of Staff who thrives in ambiguity, brings clarity to high-stakes environments, and partners closely with senior executives. This role centers on advisory leadership, driving strategic programs, and serving as a trusted advisor and extension of executive leadership.
This role is based in Nashville, Tennessee, and requires a full-time in-office presence.
What You'll Do
Executive & Client Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives and senior leaders, helping translate strategy into clear plans and measurable outcomes
- Act as an integrator across multi-workstream, high-complexity initiatives, aligning priorities, dependencies, and decision-making
- Facilitate executive forums, steering committees, and governance to drive clarity, accountability, and momentum
- Own execution for critical initiatives-driving planning, progress tracking, risk management, and follow-through
- Surface insights, trade-offs, and recommendations to support timely, informed decisions
- Prepare executive-level communications, readouts, and materials that enable action
- Partner closely with delivery leaders to ensure work stays aligned to scope, outcomes, and financial expectations
- Model delivery excellence across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid environments-tailoring approaches to client context
- Contribute to sales pursuits by shaping delivery approaches, governance models, and execution strategies
- Mentor and coach consultants and delivery leaders, raising the bar for execution and leadership
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience as a Chief of Staff, with the ability to provide program leadership in a consulting or transformation environment
- Demonstrated success partnering with executive-level stakeholders in complex, fast-moving settings
- Strong delivery foundation, with the ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguity
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial mindset with experience supporting delivery health and outcomes
- Comfort operating independently with broad responsibility and influence

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted base salary pay range for Principal Chief of Staff is $140,000 to $164,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
