Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Product Owner within our team.
Position Summary:
Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Product Owner within our Tax & Revenue Industry team.In this role, you will be a key member of the Functional Team, working closely with clients to develop product and implementation requirements in the form of Agile features and stories. You will also work with product development and scrum masters to manage and prioritize backlog and work closely with the team as a Functional Expert, and work closely with clients to achieve requirement acceptance. You will have responsibility for requirements, stakeholder demonstrations, and documentation, and will work effectively with various teams such as engineering, testing, implementation, interfaces, and data conversion to support project success. Your expertise in agile and functional domain knowledge will be crucial in guiding the team and driving project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, business analysts, and technical teams, to define product goals, scope, and deliverables related to requirements, design, and configuration.
- Provide guidance and support to the team in translating business requirements into functional specifications. Collaborate with business analysts and subject matter experts to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of functional requirements.
- Lead and manage a cross-functional agile team, ensuring their effective utilization and productivity. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
- Identify potential risks and issues related to functional requirements and propose mitigation strategies. Proactively monitor and address any delivery risks, keeping stakeholders informed about potential impact on project timelines and deliverables.
- Act as a point of contact for clients regarding functional aspects of the project. Build strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and ensure their expectations are met. Address client concerns or issues promptly and effectively, striving for client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the testing team to define and execute functional testing strategies. Ensure that functional requirements are accurately tested and verified against client expectations. Review and validate test plans and results, addressing any issues or deviations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of functional requirements, project progress, and changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 7+ years' experience as a Functional Leader on Integrated Tax System implementations, or in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivery success.
- 7 + years in a role using strong organizational skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- 7 + years and complete understanding of the SDLC and experience configuring and deploying software within an agile development framework
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on finding practical solutions to complex functional challenges.
- Proactive and detail-oriented mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results within project constraints.

The wage range for this role reflects the wide array of factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the unique facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual range is $145,000.00 - $150,000.00.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. It is classified as exempt under applicable law. Additionally, this position aligns with the Voyatek Career Framework as a level
05 individual contributor in a Program/Project Management position.
