Role Summary
This Project Manager position involves supporting internal engineering operations initiatives, ensuring effective planning, execution, and delivery of various technical projects. The role is designed for professionals who excel in a collaborative and technical environment, helping engineering teams enhance efficiency and productivity. The project manager will coordinate activities across multiple engineering teams, manage project documentation, and facilitate communication among stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end engineering projects, including tooling improvements, platform migrations, process automation, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, RAID logs, and status reports to provide transparency to stakeholders.
- Facilitate sprint ceremonies, project kickoffs, and recurring status meetings, documenting decisions and action items.
- Collaborate with engineering leads to define project scope, milestones, and success criteria.
- Identify dependencies across teams, proactively surface risks and blockers to senior project managers and leadership.
- Assist in resource allocation and manage competing priorities across engineering squads.
- Support intake and prioritization processes for new engineering requests and initiatives.
- Update and maintain project data in tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
- Drive process improvement within engineering operations by identifying gaps and proposing effective solutions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in project coordination, technical project management, or engineering operations support.
- Experience working in a technical environment alongside software and systems engineering teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and at least one project or issue-tracking tool like Jira, Confluence, or Smartsheet.
- Availability to work in a hybrid environment, combining remote and on-site responsibilities.
Publishing Pay Range: $35.00 - $45.00 USD Hourly
