Summary of Position:

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead facilities support and logistics operations for a large federal government agency with a multi-building campus, including specialized laboratory environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in office relocations, warehouse logistics, contractor staff oversight, and compliance within a government setting. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and client service skills to ensure seamless execution of complex, high-volume move and labor projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Manage end-to-end logistics and facilities support projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and completion.
  • Facilities & Logistics Support:
  • Direct move and relocation services across administrative offices, IT spaces, laboratories, and vivarium (animal care) environments
  • Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, inventory management, surplus handling, and loading dock coordination
  • Ensure safe movement of specialized materials, including hazardous and biological substances as needed
  • Coordinate document shredding and destruction services
  • Contract & Client Management:
  • Support and manage Task Orders under an active IDIQ contract
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the federal client, ensuring compliance with agency standards and expectations
  • Manage project transitions during contract phase-in and phase-out periods
  • Personnel Leadership:
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise contractor staff
  • Monitor performance and ensure staffing coverage across all assigned tasks
  • Manage uniforms, supplies, and equipment required for daily operations
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, cost estimates, financial summaries, and status reports
  • Produce required project documentation including Communications Plans, Operations Manuals, and Project Management Plans
  • Track KPIs and mitigate risks through proactive issue resolution and client communication
Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Bachelor's is Preferred)
  • Experience:
  • 10+ years in facilities support, logistics operations, or move management
  • 7+ years supporting federal government clients in a campus or laboratory setting
  • Strong administrative experience including budget tracking and status reporting
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and teams in a dynamic environment
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Clearance:
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain HSPD-12 clearance (Federal credentialing)
Preferred:
  • PMP Certification
  • Familiarity with federal agency logistics, laboratory safety standards, and campus operations
  • Experience working in environments with sensitive materials or specialized regulatory requirements
