Job Description

UESI is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead, maintain, and continuously improve its established 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Quality Assurance Program in support of nuclear and industrial projects.

This role is responsible for ensuring all work complies with applicable regulatory, contractual, and company requirements. The QA Manager operates with a high degree of independence from production, maintains stop-work authority to uphold quality and safety standards, and serves as the primary QA liaison with clients, auditors, and executive leadership. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and maintain UESI's Quality Assurance (QA) Program
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory and industry standards
  • Review purchase orders (POs) and contracts for QA requirements
  • Exercise stop-work authority when necessary to maintain quality and safety standards
  • Plan and lead internal, vendor, and client audits
  • Manage vendor qualification processes and approved vendor lists (AVL)
  • Represent UESI during external audits and QA oversight activities
  • Oversee training, qualification, and certification of QA personnel
  • Ensure proper inspection, testing, and documentation practices are followed
  • Manage corrective action programs, including NCRs, root cause analysis, and trend evaluation
  • Maintain QA documentation, records, and audit schedules
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7 years of Quality Assurance (QA) experience, QC experience in nuclear or highly regulated environments
  • Strong working knowledge of industry quality standards and requirements
  • Demonstrated experience with audits, including planning, execution, and reporting
  • Proven experience managing and maintaining QA programs
  • Regulatory & Industry Standards, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ANSI/ASME NQA-1, and 10 CFR Part 21
  • Experience with nuclear or industrial coatings systems
  • NQA-1 Lead Auditor certification
  • ASQ (American Society for Quality) certification (e.g., CQA, CQE, or CMQ/OE)


Requirements

  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
  • Possess a personal vehicle for use on or around a job site
  • Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
  • Able to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material, with a variation of elevation 19" or less (mud, gravel, rutted ground, etc.)
  • Able to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working
