The Quality Engineer (Molding) will be responsible for driving product and process quality across injection molding operations, ensuring that molded components meet LEGO's global and U.S. quality standards. This role supports compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS), leads problem-solving and risk mitigation activities, and contributes to continuous improvement through data-driven analysis, project coordination, and engineering collaboration.
Quality Engineer's act as a key liaison between operations, global quality teams, and external packaging partners. They lead quality incidents, implement corrective actions, support new product introductions, and reinforce a strong quality culture on the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement quality assurance processes and controls across molding operations to ensure product conformance to specifications.
- Develop and maintain FMEAs, Control Plans, inspection procedures, and quality documentation (manuals, standards, work instructions).
- Support and enforce compliance with the IMS (Integrated Management System), customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Own and lead non-conformance investigations, applying structured problem-solving tools such as PDCA, 5 Whys, and PPS.
- Track quality trends using statistical data and initiate actions to contain, correct, and prevent recurrence of quality issues.
- Monitor and report operational quality performance metrics and targets.
- Identify trends and initiate quality improvement projects based on data insights.
- Facilitate or support kaizen and lean events focused on defect reduction, standardization, and process optimization.
- Act as the quality representative during new mold ramp-ups, leading all aspects of quality monitoring, risk analysis, and resolving issues.
- Support novelty (new product) implementation by ensuring inspection readiness, documentation alignment, and packaging quality.
- Coach molding operators and partners on LEGO® quality standards, visual guidelines, and defect criteria.

Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Working experience in a Quality, Engineering, or Process Management role in a manufacturing facility. Prefer experience in injection molding or plastics manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with FMEA, Control Plans, root cause analysis (RCA), CAPA, and quality tools such as Minitab, SAP, and Excel.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, ISO 9001 (or similar), and product safety compliance.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and U.S. compliance regulations such as OSHA; familiarity with IATF 16949 or FDA requirements is a plus.
- Proven ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and propose practical improvements.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification is preferred.
Additional- This position will work directly within the production area 5 days a week.

The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
