How You Will Make Contributions That Matter
The Regulatory Compliance Supervisor performs regulatory analysis to monitor state and federal regulations and support complex business operations to ensure compliance. This position is responsible for the accurate completion and submitting of applications with governmental agencies and acts as liaison during on-site inspections. In addition, this role is responsible for preparation and facilitating all external audits and managing outcomes associated with these inspections.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management of the facilities Food Safety Plan to include reviewing and updating in addition to working collaboratively with the Corporate Food Safety and Quality team to maintain the regulatory requirements of the plan.
- Manages the facilities Quality Management System, along with the QA Manager, to ensure compliance with all internal, state, federal, and customer requirements.
- Serves as the primary audit liaison, guiding auditors through processes, answering inquiries, and providing timely evidence to support compliance. In addition, maintain detailed audit records and ensure all findings are completed in a timely manner.
- Understand and apply rules and regulations within CFR Title 21, part 113, and the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO).
- In concert with management, provide technical support to review proposed regulatory compliance activities to determine the potential impact on company operations.
- Audit all process and non-aseptic control documents to ensure HACCP plan and pre-requisite program compliance.
- Provide a clear and detailed action plan for any process deviations.
- Under direction, complete and submit any required process variation report and affidavits in compliance with State and Federal guidelines.
- Perform routine analysis and interpretation of regulatory compliance requirements against the company's current operating control standards and guidelines.
- Responsible for the management of the company's process control records, including the organization, storage, and recordkeeping management in accordance with company, state, and federal legal requirements for compliance record retention.
- Leads by example with the Saputo Code of Ethics and actively applies our Saputo Values.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
You Are Best Suited For The Role If You Have The Following Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-years dairy food manufacturing experience ideally in a supervisory capacity, operations management, or equivalent experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Extensive experience in facilitating audits that includes preparation, scheduling, and reporting.
- Preferred, but not required, to have experience with the following standards, regulations, and programs: Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO), Safe Quality Food (SQF), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI), Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and any additional audit standards applicable to food manufacturing.
- Ability to demonstrate and maintain professionalism and courtesy during all external inspections and audits.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Able to follow and comprehend SHE Policies and Procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications. SAP experience desired.
- Ability to follow all sanitation and quality policies and procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.

Physical Demands and Working Environment
- The employee may be exposed to wet, hot, humid and cold temperatures, moving machinery including forklift traffic, and noise levels exceeding 85dB.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs. unassisted.
- The employee is regularly required to work in an office, warehouse, and production environment.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Personal Protective Equipment is required.
- The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 (Qualifications / Experience)
