Job Requirements
Provide and coordinate independent care to patients within a clinical specialty as a fully effective and participative member of the multidisciplinary patient care services team. This job commitment is 96 hours within each four (4) week scheduling period, which includes four (4) 12-hour weekend shifts. It also includes one (1) summer holiday and one (1) winter holiday per calendar year.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland, or eligible to practice nursing in Maryland due to Compact state agreements outlined through the Maryland Board of Nursing. * Unit-based licensure as required for the role defined at the unit/department level. Examples include but are not limited to Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NPR), Certification in Pre-Transport/Post-Resuscitation Stabilization Care of Sick Infants for Neonatal Healthcare Providers (STABLE), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Trauma 101, etc. * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. * Two (2) years of nursing experience as a licensed Registered Nurse. * An associate degree in nursing. * Maintenance of ten (10) contact hours of continuing education every two (2) years.
Education & Experience - Preferred
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). * Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in a specific specialty such as critical care, med/surg, or pediatrics.
