Title: SAP GTS Solution Expert (A&D)
Location: Remote with occasional travel (Seattle, WA and/or St. Louis, MO)
Duration: 10 months
Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment: W2 or C2C

Overview

Baer is supporting a large-scale, US-based SAP S/4HANA implementation for a client in the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) sector, with a strong focus on International Trade Compliance. The SAP Solution Expert - GTS will serve as the Global Trade Services Architect / Value Stream Lead, responsible for end-to-end SAP GTS design, configuration, integration, and support within an S/4HANA environment.

Description:

• Lead the SAP GTS value stream for a US-based SAP S/4HANA deployment.
• Design, configure, and support SAP GTS solutions to meet business and trade compliance requirements.
• Define target-state architecture and support phased implementation aligned with SAP and customer roadmaps.
• Serve as the SAP GTS International Trade Solution Architect.
• Design and support global trade compliance processes within SAP GTS.
• Provide expertise in GTS Compliance, Customs, and Preference Management (including ITAR/EAR).
• Configure and optimize SAP GTS for Aerospace & Defense regulatory requirements.
• Ensure integration between SAP GTS, SAP S/4HANA, and related systems.
• Monitor regulatory changes and maintain ongoing system compliance.
• Provide expert troubleshooting and issue resolution for SAP GTS-related topics.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a SAP GTS Solution Architect or Lead in SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Hands-on SAP GTS configuration and integration experience.
• Experience serving as a Value Stream Lead on at least one US-based SAP S/4HANA deployment.
• Strong understanding of SAP's GTS roadmap and related value streams.
• Experience in Aerospace & Defense and/or Discrete Manufacturing.
