IT WILL REQUIRE YOU TO WORK IN DE QUEEN, AR UNTIL END OF MARCH OR SO - 5 DAYS/WEEK. PER DIEM PROVIDED.


AFTER THAT 3 MONTHS IN DE QUEEN, THIS POSITION WILL THEN TRANSFER BACK TO MONTICELLO.


Position Overview:

Southeast Connections offers complete construction services that include pipeline construction, installation, maintenance, repairs, stations, facility modification and new construction. A Directional Drill operator possesses the required knowledge, skill and physical ability to perform construction and maintenance work in horizontal directional drilling, underground utilities, and gas service lines, while also working with daily contracts with the public. Performs duties as directed by foreman while operating all types of Directional Drills (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch).

Essential Functions:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Operate HDD Drills (Vermeer and/or Ditch Witch) to drill and install underground gas lines.
• Place, remove or maintain underground utilities as directed. This includes but is not limited to: carrying pipe, bags of material and other heavy items, jack hammering, shoveling, tamping and installing pipe, duct or cable.
• Participate in manual labor tasks as required on project.
• Secure work sites, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift to ensure public safety and safety of equipment and materials.Ensure that all work being done is in compliance with the company's safety protocols.
• Understands when to wear personnel protective equipment.
• Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the Foreman or Supervisor.
• Execute job deliverables according to customer specifications and contract requirements.
• Ensure all project work is compliant with installation standards and is being performed safely and correctly.
• Promote and monitor the safety of team members.
• Prepare sites to ensure maximum optimization of construction work procedures.

• Attention to detail to ensure all repairs, inspections, and calibrations are performed to industry standards and
• fully documented.
• Exhibits ability to think practically and creatively to implement the best safety practices.
• Responds quickly and efficiently to emergency situations while remaining calm in a crisis

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Three to five years of experience operating HDD equipment in underground utility or pipeline construction.
• Previous experience in the natural gas industry is highly preferred.
• Certifications in HDD Operation, safety training, and utility locating is highly desirable.
