Senior Communications Engineer
Join a dynamic IT team as a Senior Communications Engineer and play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, and supporting advanced communications systems that underpin business operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and integration of comprehensive communications solutions leveraging a variety of technologies including wireless, voice, SCADA, satellite, microwave, CCTV, and access control systems.
- Manage the end-to-end deployment of communications projects, ensuring quality control, adherence to budgets, and timely completion.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, contractors, and clients to gather requirements, facilitate smooth project execution, and troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Provide technical oversight and support to field technicians, ensuring optimal system performance and issue resolution.
- Prepare and maintain engineering standards, technical documentation, and system diagrams using tools like Visio or CAD.
- Conduct research on emerging communications technologies and recommend innovations to enhance our infrastructure.
- Oversee contract negotiations, review technical specifications, and assist with FCC and FAA regulatory compliance related to communications assets.
- Generate and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Support environmental, safety, and regulatory procedures, including offshore and remote deployments, which may involve 50% travel.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in designing and integrating communication systems within at least three of the following domains: wireless, voice, SCADA, badge access, satellite, microwave, CCTV, and data networks.
- Proven project management experience, preferably with a PMP certification.
- Technical proficiency with system diagrams using Visio or CAD, and familiarity with communications path profile software and FCC's ULS website.
- FCC license and network certifications such as CCNA are highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to internal teams and external clients.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently.
- Physical capability to lift moderate weights and perform installation activities involving kneeling, bending, and twisting.

Pay Rate: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 Annually
