Concrete Senior Estimator
Lithko Contracting is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our team in Raleigh! In this role, you will support the estimating team and Pre-Construction Lead in all aspects of estimating, including quantity take-offs, pricing, and bidding for commercial and industrial projects. This position is critical for ensuring accurate and competitive bids, contributing to the successful acquisition and execution of projects. Current pursuits include manufacturing, datacenters, healthcare, higher-education, light-industrial, and mid & high-rise vertical structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimate Setup: Establish estimates with appropriate alternates, general conditions, vendor and subcontractor pricing, labor production, and wage rates in alignment with the bid strategy.
• Conceptual Estimating: Develop conceptual estimates from limited information, ensuring the inclusion of accurate alternates, general conditions, and pricing.
• Detailed Take-Offs: Perform detailed take-offs by identifying and quantifying all concrete scope items.
• Proposal Preparation: Create comprehensive customer proposals that include precise scope, terms, conditions, and a detailed breakdown of bid pricing.
• Project Information Management: Deliver accurate project information to the team during turnover and planning phases to ensure seamless project execution.
• Team Support: Guide estimators and project coordinators in task assignments, proper use of processes, and tools, validating the accuracy and completeness of estimates produced by the team.
• Operations Coordination: Ensure that the operations team receives correct and detailed information necessary for effective project execution.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural concrete estimating for large-scale self-perform General Contractors or concrete contractors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with a variety of project types, with a particular focus on commercial and industrial projects valued over $1 million.
• Solid understanding of construction principles, as well as experience with both negotiated and hard bid processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering required.
