Summary of Role:
This role will lead several highly capable high energy Facilities Engineering teams with the mission of building a safety culture, continuous operations mindset and growing organizational capabilities. This leader will interface with key manufacturing counterparts to maintain both tactical and strategic alignment and be the voice of facilities as needed to the manufacturing organization. The role reports to Daniel Forcier and will lead the teams providing direct service connections to manufacturing operations; gases, chems, water, HVAC, and exhaust. This role will interface across GlobalFoundries' facilities teams worldwide to identify, share, and implement best practices. This is a local role to the Essex Junction, Fab 9 location.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Build a structure which enables the local engineering and technician teams to operate at best-in-class performance specific to safety, reliability and operational cost
- Provide technical leadership to the organization addressing tactical needs balanced with strategic initiatives and investments
- Be the voice of the facilities organization during daily operations meetings and as needed during critical facilities/manufacturing engagements
- Fully engage the system experts in operational problem resolution and hardening activities
- Partner with the Central Facilities team to deliver common KPIs including but not limited to ITPs, Safety, system risk registries, cost
- Actively participate in the Facilities Monthly Operational Review (MOR), with a focus on sharing wins, work the teams are proud of, and proactive actions underway to improve safety and advance a culture of continuous improvement
Other Responsibilities:
- Build purposeful development programs for first line managers, early tenure professionals and seasoned professionals seeking career advancement
- Ensure all planned and corrective activities are completed in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Required Qualifications:
- Education - bachelor's degree in engineering or other related discipline
- Experience - Minimum 15 years in semiconductor industry and minimum 10 years in progressive management
- Ability to build relationships and trust with team members across organizations and geographies
- Ability to influence at the working level, first line managers and executives across organizations
- Strong business acumen, ability to developing and tracking annual budgets
- Travel - Up to 5%
- Fluency in English Language - both written & verbal
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing
- Experience managing teams
- Master's degree in engineering or other related discipline
Expected Salary Range$143,000.00 - $247,000.00
