What you will do

The Senior Project Manager, Global Programs and Processes is part of the Pipeline Portfolio and Project Management function and is responsible for leading and executing business critical programs/projects and the associated teams in direct support of Kenvue business strategy.

This role typically leads multiple programs and/or projects of significant complexity and business impact with a large degree of autonomy. The person in the position will have periodic interaction with and provide updates to senior executives and governances across Kenvue. The person in this position will manage multiple global/region scoped project teams and may have project managers and/or contractors report to them based on program scope and complexity.

The Senior Project Manager, Global Programs and Processes role-models the COE's project management framework of standards and tools. This person will also bring to the position knowledge of program/project management, end-to-end product development processes, financial and cost management practices, as well as the ability to effectively lead, communicate within, and partner across and throughout Kenvue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides overall program/project management and leadership to global cross-functional teams including R&D, Marketing, Packaging, Operations, Finance, and others to deliver on program/project goals. Supports team members by identifying and resolving execution barriers, raising issues as appropriate and engaging ultimate decision makers as quickly as possible when programs/projects deviate from plan.
  • Provides overall program management leadership for all Innovation, Renovation and Remediation programs or projects assigned through pipeline innovation governance/decision-making forums. This includes enforcing, clarifying and aligning on roles, responsibilities and accountabilities throughout the organizational and within project team structures.
  • Owns the overall integrated program/project execution plan including business case development, schedule, costs and launch timing, and establishing appropriate stakeholder communication and resource management plans. Oversees and drives team activities to deliver assigned program/project objectives in a compliant and reliable manner. Conducts fully integrated planning sessions and alternatives analyses; establish contingency & acceleration plans; facilitate team decisions and issue resolution; establish and implement risk management plan; devise project integration plan for assigned multi-region/multi-segment/brand/need state programs.
  • Proactively manages program interdependencies and drive resolution of conflicting priorities. Gain alignment for and effectively communicate any significant deviations to program deliverables to the team's established stakeholder management and communication plan.
  • Uses strong business knowledge, technical skills, and sound judgment to effectively assess risk, develop contingency and mitigation plans, and elevate issues with proposed solutions. Lead preparation and delivery of program/project updates, stage-gate reviews, and recommendations at governance forum. Acts as an independent advisor at the forum, making appropriate Go/No-go recommendations and communicating openly and effectively about risks and issues.
  • Develops an in-depth understanding of assigned Segment/Brand/Need State's strategy, business goals, associated technologies, and supply chain to support sound decision making from chartering through design and development to launch, resulting in marketing of successful products and reliable, cost-effective supply chain(s).
  • Utilizes project metrics and lessons learned to improve business results, processes and tools and build program / project management capability through coaching and supporting other program managers/project managers and participating in Community of Practices.
  • Maintains accurate information and data supporting program/project and portfolio tracking and reporting to ensure appropriate visibility at all organizational levels.
  • Manages all programs/projects in accordance with established Pipeline Innovation model, Stage & Gate and related processes.
  • Ensures excellence in program/project execution through implementation of and modeling of industry best practices and Kenvue PM framework established by COE and role model expectations of program management.
What we are looking for

Required qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant business/work experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in program / project management is required with demonstrated success in the management of large, complex, highly interrelated innovation, renovation and remediation programs / projects through benefit realization.
  • You can successfully interact across all levels of the organization, leading discussions and holding teams accountable without line authority, creating alignment across cross-functional partners (Commercial, R&D, Operations, and others) as needed.
  • The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, verbally, in writing and through presentations, reports and dashboards, with ability to distill complex issues and risks into succinct comprehensible analysis and open and transparent recommendations for senior leaders.
  • Strong business and financial competence, with an understanding of financial principles and program/project evaluation methods, and how to use this knowledge to make recommendations to achieve business goals.
  • You are an inclusive team leader, with proven track record of inspiring and delivering results through others with trust and empowerment, constructively challenging cross-functional partners enhancing collective success.
  • You thrive with ambiguity and can act as a change agent, adapting quickly to changing business dynamics, solving with courage to shape and build new ways of working.
  • The candidate will have a proven track record of meeting project objectives in fast-paced environments by successfully managing, tracking, and implementing successful strategies in regard to scope, quality, time and cost.
  • Must be able to work independently and without direct line management authority over team members.
  • Must be accountable, work well under pressure and have strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Must be comfortable challenging status quo and looking for ways to improve ways of working processes.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management at a brand / need-state / business unit level is required.
  • Demonstrated experience using PPM systems & tools to manage the project portfolio is required.
Desired qualifications:
  • Master's Degree or MBA or other advanced degree
  • PMP certification and/or other industry and project management certification
  • Experience working in Consumer Healthcare/Consumer Goods industry.
  • Experience in a GMP or regulated environment (Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, OTC)
  • Experience in Process Excellence / 6 Sigma methodologies
  • Change Management experience

What's in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$153,850.00 - $217,200.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
