Many people in need of attendant and homemaker support ended up in nursing homes. ASI offered a different option in which people could live independently in their own accessible, affordable cooperative homes or apartments and draw on supportive services as needed. Our community is home to both veterans who have experienced homelessness and adults living with physical or cognitive disabilities. Residents transition here after receiving initial care and stabilization at the CARES campus, living in a space that balances independence with 24/7 supportive resources.
