Your Role
Entry level Shipping and Receiving role is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments in a safe and quality focused manner. This role requires the safe operation of material handling equipment such as hand trucks, fork trucks, and other related equipment. You will assist in entry and verification of transactions for all materials handled. Duties include:
- Perform basic shipping and receiving duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Quality and EHS Specifications and GMP standards.
- Place items in the warehouse by packing/unpacking and transporting using forklifts and pallet jacks as required.
- Duties will also include scanning, labeling, and counting materials.
- Ensure adherence to environmental management systems.
- Verify accuracy of orders and complete transactions and documentation per GMP standards while ensuring a clean and orderly workspace.
- Proactive identification of safety, quality, and productivity concerns. Actively report hazardous conditions or hazardous behaviors observed in the work area and the site.
- Participate in sustainability efforts.
- Communicate and participate in shift changeovers with colleagues and leads.
- Escalate issues to the next level (operations, lead, supervisor, etc.) and work under close supervision.
Physical Attributes
- Exposure to machinery and equipment in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to chemicals and other hazardous materials.
- 100% Standing for duration of shift, up to 12 hours.
- Frequent lifting of 20 - 30 lbs. necessary/Max lifting - 40 to 50 lbs.
- Bend and twist as needed.
- Grasp, manipulate and handle objects consistently and regularly, Fine motor skills are required.
- Work in a clean room environment.
- Pass a DOT Physical.
This is a B shift position from 2:00PM - 10:00PM
Who You AreMinimum Qualifications- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced warehouse, material handling, or manufacturing team environment.
- Basic knowledge of EHS, ISO, cGMP, and other regulatory requirements.
- Basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Reliable and self-motivated.
- Read, follow and understand operating procedures and documentation.
- Chemical handling experience.
- Experience with multitasking operations.
Pay Range for this position: $19 -$38 per hour
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
