Shop Scheduler

The primary role of the Scheduler is to support planning and synchronize maintenance activities for the designated product lines and/or sites, taking into account operational demands. The Scheduler oversees and organizes schedules and maintenance tasks, guaranteeing their efficient, safe, and timely execution with flow of parts. The Scheduler collaborates closely between the workshop supervisors, master scheduler and production planner regarding activity requests such as job orders, tool orders, part picks as well as coordinating with workshop managers to appropriately adjust capacity both internally and with Third-Party Vendors and liase with the A&I team to meet all production needs ontime to the R&M order book.

Quality
  • Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford's Management System
  • Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement.

Operations
  • Aggregate the activity demand forecast of the workshop, ensuring assets and inventory future demand is thoroughly analyzed, communicated and provided to the workshop proactively to enable production to meet OTD targets
  • Translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule both internally and externally
  • Resolve differences between workstation loads and available capacity. Measure the utilization and efficiency of parts availability and 3rd party vendor supply
  • Comprehend the master schedule reporting regarding performance to the business plan, the shipment plan, the inventory plan, and the production plan
  • Responsible for coordinating with Planner(s) for the development and adherence to global demand planning process for repair and maintenance
  • Determine available capacity before planned orders are released
  • Engage in capacity management during sales and operations planning, master scheduling, materials requirements planning, and production activity control
  • Regularly update and review maintenance records ensuring compliance with company policy
  • Routinely develop, enhance, and implement procedures and schedules for various maintenance activities

Communication
  • Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external.

Financial

  • Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure.

Experience & Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-4+ years of planning, scheduling, or supply chain experience in an MRP-driven environment
  • Accredited 4-year college degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Supply Chain or other related fields or relevant industry experience
  • Experience with MRP/ERP Software

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledgeable in work processes for Notification Management, Work Order Management, Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, ability to communicate at various levels within the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team
  • Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills, able to synthesize considerable and complex data
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Understanding of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, able to work independently and under pressure
  • Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to change
  • JDE Working Knowledge
  • Lean or Green Belt Six Sigma certification a plus.

Travel Requirement:

This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: < 10%
