Solutions Engineer

Location: Dallas, Texas

Your role

As a Solutions Engineer, you will act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle, partnering closely with Sales and internal teams to design and position scalable infrastructure solutions. You will translate customer business requirements into technical solutions that leverage Digital Realty's data center, colocation, and interconnection capabilities, ensuring a seamless experience from discovery through deployment.

What you'll do

• Partner with Sales to support customer engagements, including discovery sessions, technical presentations, and solution positioning
• Design and recommend data center, colocation, interconnection, and hybrid infrastructure solutions aligned to customer needs
• Lead technical discussions, RFP/RFI responses, and solution proposals
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, operations, and delivery teams to ensure solution feasibility and successful implementation
• Support pricing inputs, scope definition, and statement-of-work development
• Provide technical guidance during customer tours, workshops, and solution reviews
• Stay current on industry trends, cloud connectivity, and digital infrastructure technologies

What you'll bring

• Experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, networking, cloud connectivity, or hybrid IT environments
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value
• Experience supporting enterprise or strategic customer engagements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
