Role Summary
This advanced SQL Developer role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing applications for Eligibility & Enrollment systems within a Medicaid agency. The position requires deep technical expertise in database development, data integration, and systems analysis to support end user needs. The role offers an opportunity to work on complex projects impacting multiple applications and to contribute to system enhancements in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain SSIS/SSRS packages aligned with business requirements.
- Create and optimize stored procedures, triggers, and SQL scripts for data management and processing.
- Perform systems analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement and system efficiency.
- Write, test, and troubleshoot moderate to advanced SQL commands, stored procedures, and ETL packages.
- Document developed code and provide status updates to project and development managers.
- Support the full system development life cycle, including design, testing, and deployment.
- Assist with interviews and onboarding as needed to support project staffing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Use tools such as Visual Studio, SSRS, and TFS/Azure DevOps to manage development activities.
- Apply Agile Scrum methodology to manage development tasks and project priorities.
Qualifications - Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development using SQL Server.
- Proven expertise in database development, ETL, and data analysis.
- Full proficiency in T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and related development tools.
- Experience developing stored procedures, triggers, and ETL packages.
- Strong understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize SQL code and ETL processes.
- Experience applying Agile Scrum development methodologies in a practical setting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Publishing Pay Range: $50.00 - $60.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
