Traffic Modeling Systems Engineer

Pay Estimated: $87.87 - $92.87/Hour

Traffic Modeling System Engineer job is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Space/Defense company. This position can be worked from Huntsville, AL; Scottsdale, AZ; Grand Forks, ND; or Chantilly, VA. In this job you will support the US Space Force Space Development Agency (SDA) Ground, Management and Integration (GMI) program responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA); integration, testing and maintenance of the ground entry points, operations centers, enterprise test and checkout capabilities

Responsibilities:

• Systems engineering that includes decomposing requirements into modeling of the traffic data flow from a satellite constellation to the ground network
• Pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and satellite services to track missiles
• Analysis of missile tracking data to validate the traffic model
• Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Active Department of Defense SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or STEM and 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree and 6+ years of experience.
• Prefer recent modeling of communication data, preferably using satellite constellations and ground networks
• Prefer recent Satellite to Ground RF communication protocol experience, end to end packet prioritization and routing, or traffic modeling experience
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment
• Experience with image processing (collection, handling, storing, and analysis
