About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting Team in our Peachtree Corners Headquarters in Atlanta, Ga. This ideal candidate will need to possess 2+ years' experience and will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts receivable, expense reporting via Concur, journal entries, reconciliations, and assisting with various ADHOC request.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and post monthly adjusting and recurring journal entries.
• Monitor the firm's accounts receivable balances and track progress on the collection of aged balances.
• Work cross functionally with internal and external customers to facilitate the resolution of issues.
• Prepare supporting schedules for month-end close and annual audit/review.
• Assist other members of the department with proper input procedures and documentation.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing process.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and internal controls.
• Maintain organized documentation and audit trails for financial compliance. Complete assigned work accurately and on time.
• Maintain knowledge of accounting standards and best practices relevant to the role.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA) in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.

2+ years of related accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
