Your Role

We have an opportunity for a Structural Associate with interests in demolition engineering, structural forensic investigation, litigation support, and structural repair design. You will be expected to execute complex demolition engineering projects, including up to 30% travel within the United States to demolition sites.

You will also manage and execute structural investigations of existing structures and design remedial repairs for deficient conditions. Investigations will include failure cause and origin analysis, repair feasibility analysis, insurance claim evaluation, litigation support, and emergency response. You will provide direction to, and review the work product of, junior-level staff, coordinate with other project managers on interdisciplinary efforts, support marketing efforts, and develop and maintain client relationships.

What You'll Do

• Oversee large-scale demolition projects, including review and oversight of demolition analysis and planning
• Manage forensic investigation projects.
• Oversee and review structural analysis and repair design of concrete, steel, timber, masonry, and other structural systems.
• Organize site visits to support forensic investigations and review site visit findings.
• Communicate with clients to understand project requirements.
• Prepare and review technical and investigative reports to support forensic findings and prepare materials related to presentations.
• Manage and mentor junior-level team members.
• Actively supports business development efforts through proposal writing, client outreach, and relationship building.

What You'll Bring

• Degree (Master's preferred) in structural engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 8+ years of structural engineering experience with demonstrated technical depth.
• Field experience with various types of structures is a plus.

Compensation
The rate for this position generally is $118,000 - $150,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
