Summer Associate / Intern - Corporate Communications
Job Function: Corporate Communications
Location: Hybrid (2 days/week in Dallas)

Position Summary :

The Corporate Communications Specialist Intern will lead a comprehensive communications research and content initiative focused on evaluating AMN Healthcare's internal messaging, corporate storytelling, digital communication channels, and competitive positioning relative to industry peers. This role provides high-visibility exposure to internal communications, executive messaging, media relations research, and enterprise-level communication strategy, with the opportunity to independently shape methodologies and deliver actionable recommendations.

Scope of Work & Responsibilities:

The intern will support strategic communications initiatives by:
• Leading a research effort assessing internal communication strategies, executive messaging, and corporate storytelling
• Independently gathering and analyzing data from competitor communication channels, newsroom content, media materials, and corporate messaging frameworks
• Leveraging communications analytics tools, research frameworks, and internal reporting systems
• Benchmarking AMN's current communications practices against competitors and industry standards
• Identifying gaps, strengths, and opportunities across communication touchpoints
• Developing insights-based recommendations to improve messaging, channel utilization, and communication strategy
• Preparing and delivering a formal presentation of findings to cross-functional stakeholders

Skills & Experience Gained:

• Hands-on experience in corporate communications and strategic message development

• Exposure to internal communications, employee engagement, and enterprise storytelling best practices

• Experience analyzing communication channels including email, intranet, video, and digital content

• Ability to synthesize research findings into clear, actionable recommendations

• Development of writing, editing, project management, and stakeholder communication skills

• Practical experience influencing communications strategy and brand reputation initiatives

Qualifications:

Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 0-2 years of related experience
  • 3.0 GPA
Additional Requirements
  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student or recent graduate
  • Interest in marketing, digital communications, strategy, or research
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams

    Work Environment / Physical Requirements

Pay Rate
$17.25 - $20.50 Hourly
Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
