Technical Product Manager, Data Governance

Seeking a technical Product Manager to drive data governance, metadata, lineage, access control, and data quality capabilities across a modern data platform.

Must Haves

• 7+ years of technical product management, product ownership, data governance, data platform, or data engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on SQL skills with the ability to understand data models, pipelines, lineage, and quality rules.
• Experience with Snowflake or similar modern data platforms.
• Experience with data cataloging, metadata management, lineage, data quality, access control, or sensitive data classification.
• Ability to translate technical governance requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, platform controls, and scalable capabilities.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Copilot, Gemini, or similar tools.
• Strong collaboration skills across data engineering, analytics, security, privacy, compliance, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and deliver technical capabilities for governance, metadata, lineage, access control, and data quality.
• Partner with data engineering and platform teams to embed governance into data pipelines and workflows.
• Write clear technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritization plans.
• Support scalable controls for data access, classification, stewardship, compliance, and audit readiness.
