Position Summary
Performs all aspects of Materials Handler activities while ensuring security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review. Performs leadership responsibilities such as training and motivating staff, scheduling, conducting performance management, enforcing company policies, and interfacing with other departments and divisions. Responsible for overseeing assigned Material Handlers in their dayto-day responsibilities. Serves as a group leader, under the general supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager, to perform work in connection with the picking, pulling, transferring, cycle counting, and WIP functions necessary for the day-to-day operation of the plant. Determines priorities and make assignments accordingly and ensure that effective lines of communication between departments are established. May provide temporary supervision in the absence of the Supervisor.
Schedule:
Week One: Work Monday & Tuesday, off Wednesday & Thursday then work Friday-Sunday
Week Two: off Monday & Tuesday, Work Wednesday & Thursday then off Friday-Sunday
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Production Shift Supervisors in the assignment and supervision of personnel in order to achieve an efficient operation at all times.
- Audit manufacturing work orders ensuring documentation procedures are followed through properly to completion, and are filled out properly prior to turning in.
- Organize and schedule work assignments to achieve maximum efficiency and meet processing objectives.
- Keep informed of changes and new procedures in manufacturing operations.
- Ensure safety of personnel and compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
- Develop, mentor, and train associates in accordance with prescribed procedures.
- Regularly communicate and prepare feedback to the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager on the performance of associates.
- Research any irregularities on the Discrete Job*Work Order as they arise and address accordingly.
- Implement new processes to achieve greater inventory accuracy across the plant.
- Setup and manage the system generated cycle count of raw materials, molded materials, and finished goods in order to stay compliant with internal and external audits.
- Perform inventory adjustments for inventory accuracy which includes the MDO's (Material Destruction Orders), Non-conforming, and expired Material.
- Follow up on consistent discrepancies with team leadership.
- Work with the quality team to ensure Oracle transactions take place in a timely manner.
- Help resolve any outstanding NCMR's
- Root cause and investigate internal and external discrepancies.
- Identify areas to more streamline process and performance.
- Hold accountability for all Oracle errors and material discrepancies.
- Develop and track KPI's for inventory accuracy.
- Assure efficient operations of all parts functions including cycle counts.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications - Advanced ORACLE WIP competency required
- Microsoft Proficient.
- Forklift experience
Education and Experience - Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma • Minimum of 5 years Material handling experience or inventory control work.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment - Work is performed in a warehouse and clean room environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects of up to 40 lbs
- Must be able to operate a forklift, and cherry picker.
- Must be able to walk for long periods of time and type repetitively.
- Must be able to use computer or touch screen to enter work order data
