We are looking to fill the role of a Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate to work for our Safety practice in our Dayton, Ohio warehouse. The Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for maintaining the warehouse supplies and equipment needed for the LJB Safety installation team.

Hourly Compensation: $23-30/hr based upon experience and regional market standards.

WAREHOUSE SHIPPING & RECEIVING ASSOCIATE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assemble, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments as requested by the installation team based upon a packing list.
• Receive and unload trucks and deliveries to sort and restock.
• Inspect incoming/returning equipment and supplies to make sure they are in good condition and confirm their ability to be used on a job site.
• Maintain an inventory system and create an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.
• Able to identify tools based on written or verbal description for packing and restocking.
• Collaborate and communicate with team members regarding shipment timelines and deadlines.
• Ability to operate common hand tools to prepare and complete tasks in the warehouse (Ex. cut railing or wood posts with a band saw, paint fabricated railings, etc.).
• Schedule and coordinate shipments via Fed Ex/UPS, LTL, and dedicated freight to the appropriate job site.
• Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
• Ability to operate the forklift, hand truck or other equipment to unload, transport and store equipment.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle and tow a flatbed trailer to transport equipment to and from supplier.

Additional Responsibilities and Duties:

• Ability for potential overnight stay, if needed, to transport equipment to a local job site within 6 to 8 hours of the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned.

WAREHOUSE SHIPPING & RECEIVING ASSOCIATE ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:

Education:

• High school diploma.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of working in a warehouse or as a shipping & receiving associate.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office.
• Experience driving a forklift, pulling trailer or equipment.
• Ability to pass MVR in order to drive company vehicles.

Physical:

• Must be able to sit, stand, lift, squat, and use ladders for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time, occasionally up to 100 pounds.
