Title: Human Resources Business Partner
Location: Clayton, MO
Additional locations may include: East Alton, IL
Salary: $80,220-$110,000 (depending on relevant experience)
Schedule: Onsite in Clayton or East Alton, with regular travel between locations based on business needs.
Focus: The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) strengthens organizational effectiveness by supporting employee relations, performance management, talent development, and HR compliance. This role partners closely with leaders and employees across multiple facilities to drive engagement, strengthen safety culture, support operational needs, and foster a positive, productive workplace.
Human Resources Business Partner Essential Job Functions:
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with leaders and employees to promote an engaged and productive workplace.
- Guide managers through the performance review process and assist in developing and implementing performance management strategies.
- Collaborate with managers to identify training needs and support employee development initiatives.
- Partner with departmental leaders to identify staffing needs and support the Talent Acquisition team's recruitment strategies.
- Communicate, interpret, and enforce HR policies while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws.
- Support Labor Relations activities and administer East Alton bargaining unit processes, including internal bid resolutions, curtailments, and recalls.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives and coordinate employee-focused events.
- Administer corrective action using a progressive discipline model, up to and including termination.
Human Resources Business Partner Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree* in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Organizational Development, or Business discipline.
- Minimum three years of related HR Generalist experience; manufacturing union environment preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with PeopleSoft/Workday, Dimensions, or SAP preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities, manage a high-volume workload, and work collaboratively.
- Strong analytical, communication (verbal and written), leadership, organizational, presentation, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Valid US drivers license.
Location-Specific Requirements:- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
