The Office of Enrollment Management (OEM) at Indiana University Bloomington is dedicated to attracting, enrolling, and supporting a community of talented students from Indiana, across the nation, and around the world. OEM integrates strategic planning, data-informed decision-making, and collaborative partnerships across campus to create a seamless student experience from first contact through graduation. Through its units Admissions, Scholarships, the Registrar, Student Financial Assistance, Student Central, Orientation and Enrollment Programs, Retention, Planning and Research, Enrollment Marketing and Communications, Administration and Fiscal Affairs, and Development. OEM advances the university's mission while upholding IU Bloomington's tradition of academic excellence and public service.
The Office of Admissions (ADMS) is the front-facing department to the public for undergraduate recruitment for the Indiana University Bloomington campus. The Office of Admissions is responsible for recruiting the freshman class each year, counseling prospective students and their families about the admissions process, providing accurate information to the public about our recruiting requirements and standards, and marketing Indiana University Bloomington.
Job Summary
Department Specific Responsibilities
- Implements a plan that promotes low income student participation in the IUBound program, future enrollment and graduation from Indiana University.
- Actively collaborates with high school and campus partners to prepare students and their supporters for future IU attendance and participation in IU student success programs for low-income students.
- Serves in a collaborative role with internal and external stakeholders to implement each stage of the program.
- Creates strong relationships with schools that serve as feeders to current and future IU partner high schools.
- Supports first-year undergraduate (FYU) recruitment through assigned territory management, including outreach, application review, and yield activities.
- Assists with the management of the student recruitment team by supporting training, communication, and coordination of recruitment initiatives.
- Attends meetings or serve on committees with admissions stakeholders, including all staff meetings, recruitment, and outreach team meetings.
- Serves as a resource for precollege campus programs which want to include college preparation and IU admissions information in early outreach programs.
- Tracks program outcome data in conjunction with the Associate Director for Precollege Programs in the Office of Admissions.
General Responsibilities
- Maintains, implements, and oversees a holistic recruitment-yield tactical plan.
- Develops, implements, and administers plans, programs, and events for general and targeted student recruitment in support of organizational goals.
- Integrates a diverse and strategic communications strategy in collaboration with other departments, geared toward specific student declared academic major, career interests, and geographic factors.
- Identifies and develops partnerships for outreach to prospective students and influencers.
- Interprets academic policies and exercises authority and independent judgment.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates programs and processes and determines the effectiveness of markets and strategies. Exercises independent judgment and uses census data and modeling tools to identify effective marketing plans and strategies to address specific populations.
- Serves in a collaborative role with internal and external stakeholders to identify targets of opportunity to attract and enroll under-represented populations. Participates in the assessment and evaluation of various models.

EDUCATION
Required- Bachelor's degree in business, public policy, or related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred- Some experience in admissions, higher education, marketing, or related field.

Working Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Additional InformationThis is a limited-term position with initial funding through September 30, 2026. Continued employment beyond this date will depend on business needs and securing additional funding.
Work LocationBloomington, Indiana
This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule (mix between 1 remote workday and 4 in-person workdays), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
