A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Fiber Project Engineer

Position type: Fulltime - Contract role
Duration: 4+ Months (Possibly extension or hire)
Location: New Albany, OH

As a Fiber Project Engineer, you will:

• Ensure safety by following company and client worksite policies; promote accident-free practices daily.
• Uphold company Core Values to foster and safeguard culture.
• Participate in RFP processes, reviewing plans, specifications, and bid packages.
• Provide close support to Project Manager/Senior Project Manager.
• Suggest improvements to project delivery processes.
• Manage, mentor, and develop colleagues.
• Interact with customers to validate expectations before, during, and after project completion.
• Support and oversee subcontractors.
• Review contracts, work orders, and purchase orders for scope alignment.
• Cultivate and maintain customer relationships.
• Coordinate with field operations to ensure materials and equipment availability.
• Manage customer acceptance and signoff.
• Own change management process-identify scope impacts, communicate, and resolve.
• Partner with QA/QC teams; review and validate test results (OTDR, Power Meter, etc.).
• Maintain up to date redline throughout build lifecycle.
• Lead preparation of closeout documentation for timely, organized, customer-ready submittals.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 5+ years' construction industry experience in a similar role.
• Experience with ISP large, structured cabling projects and/or data center construction projects highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related discipline (relevant experience may substitute).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Bluebeam, Procore, Textura, and other industry applications.
• Strong leadership presence: ability to mentor junior staff, lead site walks, and represent telecom discipline.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• OSHA-30 Hour certification.
• BICSI TECH certification.
• BICSI OSP certification.
• BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: Between $50 - $55 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
