Overview: Our client, an engineering firm specializing in renewable energy, water, and environmental solutions, is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Engineer to perform structural analysis and design for hydroelectric, fisheries, and water resource projects, including concrete and steel structures. This role supports projects through planning, design, and construction, coordinates with multidisciplinary teams, and contributes to technical leadership and project execution. The ideal candidate holds a PE license (or can obtain one within one year), has experience developing design drawings and specifications, and brings knowledge of applicable codes and standards. Experience with field support, specialty tools (e.g., RISA 3D, SAP2000, AutoCAD, Revit), and the ability to work a hybrid schedule is required.
This is a hybrid, full-time position based in Redmond, Washington.
Pay Rate: $82,000 - $130,000/year Benefits: - Comprehensive medical/dental/vision package

Responsibilities: - Perform structural analysis and design for hydroelectric, fisheries, and water resources projects
- Develop structural design calculations, drawings, and technical specifications for concrete and steel structures
- Support projects through planning, design, and construction, including field support as needed
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and collaborate with junior and senior staff
- Contribute to technical leadership and project management efforts based on experience
- Prepare technical memos, reports, and proposal content as required
- Manage priorities and workload in complex, fast-paced project environments
Requirements: - Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain licensure within one year
- 3-10 years of structural engineering experience
- Knowledge of applicable structural engineering codes and standards
- Ability to independently analyze and design concrete and steel structures
- Experience developing complete design drawing packages and technical specifications
- Strong problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with hydroelectric, fisheries-related, or water resource projects
- Experience managing staff, projects, and client relationships
- Construction-phase and field support experience
- Specialty expertise such as seismic design, finite element modeling (RISA 3D, SAP2000), AutoCAD, and Revit
- Familiarity with regulatory and permitting processes
- Permanent authorization to work in the United States and ability to obtain authorization to work in Canada
- Willingness to travel and possession of a valid driver's license
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of two days per week in-office
