Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Project Scheduler II will develop and maintain detailed schedules for nuclear and engineering projects, supporting outage, on-line, and lifecycle work while ensuring alignment with safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements. This role will coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to track progress, manage costs, and resolve scheduling conflicts using tools such as Primavera (P6) and Passport. Requires commercial nuclear power plant experience, strong scheduling and coordination expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in complex technical environments. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.

Pay rate: $66.67 - $92.68

Responsibilities
  • Schedule project activities, including dates, times, and sequencing for nuclear and engineering projects
  • Maintain and update schedules between Passport and Primavera scheduling systems
  • Support project managers in developing schedules for outage, on-line, and lifecycle projects
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and comprehensive project schedules
  • Support planning, execution, monitoring, and control of project activities to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence
  • Coordinate project implementation activities, including budgeting, work package preparation, procurement, and resource loading
  • Support ALARA planning, industrial and nuclear safety requirements, and clearance order preparation
  • Monitor progress and resolve schedule delays, conflicts, and risks
  • Track project costs and maintain alignment with approved budgets
  • Interface with clients, engineers, internal teams, and management to ensure project alignment and progress
  • Develop and manage vendor contracts and coordinate with external suppliers
  • Develop detailed schedules to manage risk, track progress, and support critical path and float analysis
  • Prepare and deliver written and verbal updates to stakeholders, including senior management
  • Support long-range planning strategies for assigned projects
  • Contribute to self-assessment and corrective action programs to support continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related field
  • OR Associate's degree in a related technical field and 2+ years of technical experience
  • OR High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of technical experience
  • Commercial nuclear power plant experience
  • Experience supporting project scheduling and coordination in technical or engineering environments
  • Experience using Primavera (P6 preferred), Passport, or similar scheduling tools
  • Understanding of project lifecycle phases, including planning, execution, and monitoring
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost tracking, and resource planning concepts
  • Familiarity with nuclear, engineering, or industrial project environments
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interface with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, and risks
  • Understanding of industrial and nuclear safety practices, including ALARA principles
  • Knowledge of human performance principles and cost-effective work execution
