BGIS is looking for an Operations Director to join the team in Remote, US.

The Operations Director is responsible to charter, plan, organize and execute activities to support client facilities. The Operations Director leads others positively exemplifying BGIS values

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Management

  • Maintain appropriate talent to service client by selecting, developing, coaching, and leading the mission critical teams.
  • Identify and proactively participate in change management.
  • Manage ongoing mission critical training and certification programs.
  • Provide requirements for operation managers, program managers, and facility program managers per particular region.
  • Promote collaborative work across all business units by sharing information representing all opinions and best practices.
  • Accept responsibility for continuous quality improvement and cost management.
  • Recognize the role as an agent of BGIS and act accordingly at all times.
  • Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.
Client Service and Quality Assurance
  • Own, manage, and implement client management reporting tools including KPIs and business reviews.
  • Provide input and participate in client QBRs and other client-centric business reviews.
  • Establish and gain client and internal team agreement on deliverables and targeted delivery date.
  • Anticipate problems and proactively plan ahead.
  • Provide ongoing updates to internal team and clients regarding problem status and progress.
  • Regulate services to prevent business impact and equipment downtime.
  • Input risk assessments to operations model and design.
  • Develop, implement and manager quality assurance metrics for performance improvement related to client and company contracts.
  • Communicate with other BGIS departments to ensure agreements are successfully managed, opportunities are maximized, and clients are satisfied.
  • Operate within budget and provide process improvements to meet growth objectives.
  • Prioritize, coordinator, and deliver special projects as assigned.
  • Develop cost estimates including labor and other key considerations.
  • Perform signature authority on customer invoicing, subcontract agreements, and scopes of work.
Project Development
  • Manage appropriate resources effectively and balance client requirements with the agreed upon strategies of the company to achieve successful and timely completion of assigned projects.
  • Complete consultative selling or up selling of current client programs.
  • Meet project deadlines and manager 6-10 operations managers tactically.
Business Management
  • Verify design and implementation of plans, policies, programs, and procedures to meet quality standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) during operation of accounts.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Facilities Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related studies or equivalent work experience
  • Twelve years of experience in data center and facility management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of data center operations and system configurations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong team building skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve considering multiple factors and potential impacts with decision making skills.
  • People leader able to successfully develop skills of individuals and improve contributions of teams.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 60%.
  • Current valid driver's license and ability to provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office with reimbursement.
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays, and be on call 24x7 for emergency situations.
