Senior Tax Accountant

We're seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to deliver tax compliance, planning, and accounting services for a Los Angeles based firm. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys client interaction, advisory work, and operating independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
• Perform tax planning and consulting for client companies
• Manage bookkeeping, journal entries, and monthly bank reconciliations
• Generate financial reports using QuickBooks and related platforms
• Process payroll, payroll tax deposits, quarterly payroll tax filings, and annual 1099s
• Review and interpret financial statements and supporting documentation
• Reclassify expenses and prepare adjusting schedules as needed
• Communicate directly with clients and collaborate with internal tax and accounting teams

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2-5+ years of experience at a CPA firm (business management services a plus)
• CPA/CPA tracking or Enrolled Agent required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and multi-entity tax filings
• Experience with partnership accounting and allocations
• Proficiency in QuickBooks; tax and accounting software experience preferred
• Payroll processing experience (ADP or Paychex a plus)
• Strong organizational, analytical, and client-communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
