Location: Onsite in Atlanta, GA - 5 days a week (local candidates only)

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that support business functions across sales, engineering, operations, product, and digital teams.
  • Build, enhance, and support semantic models, DAX measures, KPIs, Power Query transformations, and Row-Level Security (RLS) frameworks to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing analytics solutions.
  • Develop and maintain reusable datasets, data marts, and analytical models that enable consistent reporting and self-service analytics across the organization.
  • Leverage DAX, Power Query (M), SQL, and data modeling best practices to create scalable, reusable, and maintainable reporting solutions.
  • Support data engineering activities, including data pipeline development, ETL/ELT processes, data validation, data reconciliation, migration efforts, and troubleshooting of analytical data flows.
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business objectives, and translate needs into actionable technical solutions and insights.
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc reporting that drives operational excellence, performance management, and strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to reporting and analytics modernization initiatives, including platform enhancements involving Microsoft Fabric, Amazon Redshift, Azure-based technologies, and modern data architectures.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, including data quality concerns, report discrepancies, refresh failures, and reporting platform performance challenges.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to improve reporting reliability and data integrity.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for dashboards, semantic models, business logic, data workflows, pipelines, schemas, and operational processes.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer activities and collaborate with team members to ensure continuity of key analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • Explore opportunities to leverage AI-enabled analytics, automation, and modern data platforms to improve business outcomes and decision-making.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, data visualization, semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query, performance optimization, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with data validation, troubleshooting, query optimization, and reporting support.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics engineering and data engineering concepts, including ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, pipeline support, and data warehousing.
  • Experience working with modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Amazon Redshift, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, or similar technologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to effectively partner with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting reporting modernization, cloud migrations, or enterprise analytics initiatives.
  • Preferred experience with Python, Spark, AI-enabled analytics, and high-volume operational or telemetry data environments.
  • A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset with strong documentation habits and a commitment to collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the pay range is $70/hr to $85/hr. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
