Overview
We are seeking a Senior Product Designer operating at the intersection of design, AI, and engineering. This is not a traditional Figma-based design role, instead, you will design directly in code using AI-enabled development environments.
This role blends product design, prompt engineering, and front-end development, where AI generates much of the code, but design judgment, prompt architecture, and quality oversight remain deeply human-led.
You will shape experiences by building them using AI tools to rapidly prototype, iterate, and deliver working product interfaces as the primary design artifact.
What You'll Do
AI-Driven Design & Prototyping
- Design and build user interfaces directly in an IDE using AI-assisted tools and LLMs
- Use prompt-driven UI engineering to generate, refine, and optimize front-end code
- Treat working prototypes as the final design deliverable not static mockups or design specs
Prompt Architecture & Design Thinking
- Write structured, context-rich prompts that guide AI to produce high-quality UX and UI outputs
- Embed design rationale, user flows, and decision logic within prompts, not just technical instructions
- Continuously refine prompt strategies to improve fidelity, usability, and scalability of generated solutions
- Synthesize large volumes of input (PRDs, stakeholder notes, research, and data) into usable context for AI tools
- Translate business goals and user needs into structured prompt inputs that inform design generation Design System Integration- Incorporate existing design systems, tokens, and UI standards into AI-generated components
- Ensure outputs align with established visual language, accessibility standards, and brand consistency
- Focus on end-to-end user journeys, decision flows, and system interactions, not just individual components
- Use AI tools to model and validate complex workflows, edge cases, and interaction patterns
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of experience in product design, interaction design, or UX/UI design
- Demonstrated experience working closely with engineering and product teams in agile environments
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript and/or modern frameworks)
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., LLMs, code generation tools, AI copilots) for design or development workflows
- Proven ability to think beyond static design using systems thinking and workflow-driven approaches
- Experience working with design systems, component libraries, and design tokens
- Experience designing directly within code or developer environments (VS Code, Cursor, etc.)
- Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques and structured AI interaction patterns
- Background in rapid prototyping, hack-style development, or startup environments
- Exposure to AI-assisted product development or agent-based workflows
- Strong ability to operate in ambiguity and define new ways of working
