Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Substation Project Manager role is responsible for the planning, direction, coordination, and budgeting of all activities concerned with the lifecycle of high voltage substation and transmission line projects, from inception to planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closeout.
This full-time position is located in San Ramon, CA. Pay range: $60 - $70 Benefits: -

Responsibilities: - Lead the planning, direction, coordination, and budgeting of high-voltage substation and transmission line projects across the full project lifecycle, from initiation through closeout
- Manage utility substation projects with end-to-end accountability, including planning, execution, monitoring and control, and project closeout
- Support and manage transmission line projects within a utility or power delivery environment
- Apply strong project management fundamentals, including schedule development, forecasting, budget tracking, funding requests, change management, accruals, and invoice review
- Oversee subcontractors and vendors, including contract administration and performance management throughout project execution
Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance or related discipline or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of related experience or equivalent (Substation, T-line, Electric Generation or Distribution projects)
- Proven experience managing utility projects, with strong emphasis on substation projects across the full project lifecycle from planning through closeout
- Strong working knowledge of project management fundamentals, including scheduling, forecasting, budget tracking, funding requests, change orders, accruals, and invoice review
- Experience managing subcontractors/vendors and handling contract administration throughout project execution
- Great communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (excel, power point)
- Knowledge of SAP, Primavera P6, Unifier, ProjectWise, and Power BI desired
- PMP Certification is highly preferred
