Test Engineer
Full-Time with an Employee Owned and Best Places to Work Certified Contractor
Onsite in Huntsville, AL | Schedule: 9x80
We are seeking a Test Engineer to support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as a key contributor on the Ground Fire Control (GFC) Test Team, executing and integrating software tests within a classified, mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Execute test plans, procedures, and formal test events
- Support software integration and system-level testing
- Collaborate on requirements development and verification
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts (Python)
- Analyze large data logs and perform root cause analysis
- Support configuration and version control processes
- Contribute within an Agile development environment
- Operate full-time in a secure, closed-area work environment
Qualifications:
- Federal Law requires U.S. Citizenship
- Active Secret clearance (ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret)
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline
- Experience as a software tester and integrator; including working test plans, procedures, or test execution
- Understanding of systems integration of system components within an integrated test environment
- Knowledge of requirements development and collaboration
- Experience with Object-Oriented development languages such as C++, Python, Ada, JAVA, Mongo, HTML
- Knowledge of Python and automation scripting
- Familiarity with configuration management tools: Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, Jenkins, or others
- Experience using GitHub (repositories, branches, commits, pull requests), Bitbucket, Version Control, Repository management, and Data/Configuration management.
- Experience with Agile and automated test tools
- Must be able to support an in-office / closed-area work environment full-time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Experience with containerized virtualized environments
- Familiarity with Linux, Bash, SQL and MATLAB
- Experience with Eggplant test automation
- Experience performing root cause analysis on large log files
