Job Requirements
JOB SUMMARY: Independently provides and coordinates care provided to patients within the clinical specialty. Demonstrates and models the full range of nursing professional practice in both care provided and in participation in the development of strategies to improve patient outcomes, satisfaction with service and cost-effectiveness. Provides and coordinates infusion activities to assure compassionate and effective patient care. Accountable to patients and families for the processes and outcomes of care during an episode of care. A clinically competent Registered Nurse who initiates and monitors specific phases of infusion therapy, central line care with blood drawing, IVP medications, chemotherapy, biotherapy and phlebotomy. This role promotes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach towards patients, families and all members of the care delivery team.
Work Orientation & Experience:
ONS Chemotherapy and Bio Therapy Certification
BLS required. ACLS preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years' advanced skills and an appropriate level of clinical expertise in the field of oncology and/or critical care is required.
Additionally, one (1) year outpatient experience is preferred.
Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and education in order to provide this specialty service in an outpatient environment.
Successful completion of clinical orientation and IV skill assessment.
Compensation: Pay Range: $47.38/ hour Flat Rate
Other Compensation (if applicable): Shift Differential
