HireGenics is immediately hiring a Machine Assistant for Summer 2026:
First shift 6am-2pm or Second shift 2p-10pm
Schedule may change from week to week
Pay: $21.00 per hour.
Summer (2-3 months) Contract opportunity.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Perform material inspection and sorting to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using appropriate measuring tools and techniques
- Accurately record inspection data and maintain detailed quality logs
- Identify trends and recommend areas for improvement
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action investigations
- Collaborate with production team members to maintain quality standards throughout operations
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with 5S and safety protocols
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency
- Train and mentor new employees on quality procedures and work instructions
- Operate and maintain basic production equipment, ensuring proper setup and calibration
- Skill at adding/subtracting/multiplying/dividing with consistent accuracy
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly with or without accommodation
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods in a fast-paced environment with or without accommodation
- Ability to meet shift requirements with excellent attendance
- Ability to work mandatory overtime including weekend work when needed
- Teamwork and strong interpersonal skills.
Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is a plus
- Basic understanding of quality control processes and inspection tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Good communication and organizational skills
