Job Description
We are seeking a Printer Technician to join our dynamic team supporting a customer site in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in printer and device support, inventory management, and incident resolution, and a proven ability to deliver prompt customer service and meet production goals within defined processes.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor systems, detect performance issues, and resolve technical problems on assigned platforms using established protocols.
- Identify incident trends, escalate within defined timeframes, and follow incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Conduct routine installations and configurations, assemble and integrate systems/products per standard procedures.
- Respond to service, product, technical, and customer-relations inquiries to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Execute approved scripted change activities with adherence to governance and compliance requirements.
- Maintain daily production goals and meet contract-required response times.
- Align work with operational strategy, collaborate to improve processes, and support standardized practices.
- Ensure data confidentiality and apply independent judgment within defined parameters.
- Complete process-oriented assignments and share technical information with the team.
Onsite Administrator (Print) - OSA Level II Duties: - Manage consumable inventory and ensure adequate stock at customer sites.
- Replace toner, consumables, and paper; clear paper jams.
- Assist end users with device functionality and perform initial troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with HP software-branded support and swap devices with spares as needed.
- Collect usage pages per device as needed and report customer dissatisfaction to CSM/SDM.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Basic knowledge of HP products and service offerings.
- Effective communication with technical audiences and first-level management.
- Active listening and ability to tailor messages to the audience.
- Problem-solving skills using defined procedures in proactive and reactive scenarios.
- Conceptual understanding of IT environments and device support.
- Ability to work onsite daily at the customer location in Boston, MA.
Experience Level: - High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required. Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Typically 2-5 years of related work experience, preferably in maintenance, print support, quality, or a related field.
Work Conditions: - Full time at the customer site. Business casual dress code.
- Client interface required. No overtime required.
