Aerospace Systems Technician

Seymour Johnson AFB, NC

$35.89 - $43.93/Hour

As an Aerospace Systems Technician, you will perform assembly, modification, troubleshooting, and testing of aerospace vehicle systems to ensure performance, reliability, and flight readiness. This role supports maintenance, overhaul, and system validation in a regulated aerospace environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble, disassemble, and modify aerospace vehicle systems and components to correct failures or implement upgrades
• Lead or support overhaul, configuration, and system integration activities
• Configure and operate bench test equipment for system validation
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate and resolve faults
• Perform validation and verification testing of systems and components
• Inspect components and verify repairs meet flight worthiness standards
• Document repairs, test results, modifications, and inspection outcomes in compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements
• Ensure adherence to established processes, procedures, and quality standards
• Provide guidance and training to junior technicians as needed
• Work under general supervision with responsibility for task execution and quality

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• 4+ years of aerospace, aviation, or related technical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical system troubleshooting and repair
• Experience with assembly, modification, and testing of complex systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in aircraft maintenance, overhaul, or depot environments
• Familiarity with bench test equipment and system validation processes
• Experience supporting regulated aerospace programs (FAA, DoD, or equivalent)
